APC40 Midi Mapping v3.00 for Traktor
It is almost becoming an addiction to create the ultimate TSI mapping for the APC40. In the beginning I purely focussed on having a TSI on the APC which gives me additional options and makes more functionalities available next to my Reloop Digital Jockey II I own as well. But now I moved to a TSI supported the APC40 as a standalone deck featuring every hot function in traktor needed while playing the tracks!
I’ve created a whole new version of the TSI and remapped some old notes, so please check out the new image to be sure you understand the map.
Main Functions
Check out these main functions this mapping supports:
In short the main functions (the rest can be checked in the image map describing the mapping functions):
- Full cueing options on 2 decks
- Great loop functionality, including different loop lengts and relooping
- 2 advanced fx units supporting delay, slicing, 8bar sampling and gater fx (don’t forget to use 2 advanced fx together and play with fx on fx3 while sampling it on fx4!)
- 2 chained fx units supporting various fx’s with fx1 supporting cool sound fx and fx2 supporting beat-fx with delays (don’t forget to use 3 fx together, for example all fx on fx unit 4, which give you awesome delayed gater sounds while playing with the beatmasher as well!!)
- dry/wet indepent per fx unit!
- Xone 4 EQ supported on both decks!
- Filter effect for both deck
- and much more.. (volume faders, crossfader, auto grid-cueing on cue1 etc..)
The mapping keeps on growing but it is now already very grown up and good to use in every set. Be sure to check out the pre-conditions of this map (see image) to fully use the TSI including LED’s etc.

mapping that knob should be doable. check the following:
1) go to ‘controller mappings’ in your traktor setup sectione
2) select the correct device (the APC one)
3) go to the big list of assigned knobs and add a command by clicking on ‘add input’. In that list search for ‘browse’ or something like that and select it
4) after selecting it, click on ‘learn’ a bit lower and rotate that knob
5) unselect ‘learn’Now close the options and it should be working. I’ll probably update the TSI with stuff like this in a few weeks as this is now my main controller as well!

Thanks for an awesome .tsi! I had initial trouble loading it but after upgrading to the newest version of Traktor it works great. My only problem now is how to turn on the chained effects unit 1 & 2? They appear to be working but I hear no effect on the music, is there a necessary step to activate the effects on a deck? Thanks again!

Yeah, don’t forget to put the effect on for the channel you want. You have 4 buttons called FX1 ON, FX2 ON, FX3 ON and FX4 ON for both channel A and B. If you set it to on, you’ll activate the FX bank for that channel, this way you can use 4fx banks for each channel, use 2 banks for 2 channels at the same time or put them all off, lots of stuff to play with
So just turn it on, that’s all

hey, first of all cheers mate for sharing your work and this tsi is the best ever found. But I had a little problem tht I hope u can solve: when i start traktor tsi is loaded perfectly, but when I press a lighted button in the matrix to do something(for example to sync a track) that button become no more lighted and no more visible. Maybe is a problem of my hard/soft-ware?I have traktor 1.2.7! may the buttons can re-turn to their original function-colour after being pressed? it will be useful at all.
Many thanks in advice and sorry for my english!

Hey that’s not an error and neither are you doing anything wrong, the only thing you need to do each time is set the APC into dumb mode, very easy, check here how to do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6PzNM3SOiI

This is absolutely incredible I really have to hand it to you this is genius. I was going to go out and buy an S4 but really don’t feel the need any more – I Love It!
My only issues are as follows:
1. Can you explain the whole chaining fx thing?
2. When I load the .tsi file I’m not getting the fx you mention which is a drag because that means many of the buttons do nothing
3. Unit 3&4′s dry/wets don’t work
4. Not really an issue but whats up with the scene launch section -

Hey man, this is the best mapping I’ve found (that actually works) so far!
I was curious though, if you might be able to tell me (or point me in the right direction) how to map the cue knob to browse tracks? It’s the one thing that seems missing from an otherwise excellent mapping…
